At-Bay is hiring a Cyber Underwriter / Senior Underwriter to manage and grow our core broker base and Gross Written Premium (GWP). You will provide excellent service while proposing, negotiating, and analyzing cyber insurance risks, collaborating with internal teams to enhance our underwriting process.
What You'll Do
- Manage and grow At-Bay’s core broker base and GWP, ensuring world-class service.
- Propose and negotiate price, coverage, and terms for insurance policies, while identifying account rounding opportunities.
- Solicit and analyze cyber risk within our guidelines, ensuring proper documentation, and service existing renewals and new business.
- Collaborate with cyber analytics, product, marketing, and other teams to ensure brokers get the best of our offerings.
- Work with technology and data teams to create tools that improve the underwriting process.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an underwriter or account executive in cyber liability, Tech/Media E&O, Miscellaneous E&O, or other specialty commercial insurance lines.
- Solid knowledge of specialty commercial underwriting, insurance industry theories, and practices.
- Strong technology affinity and ability to work with advanced analytics software.
- A collaborative team player who makes others better and doesn't let ego get in the way.
- A driven person who gets satisfaction from completing tasks thoroughly.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic tech environment.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
Nice to Have
- A technical background, especially knowledge of concepts like DNS, IP addresses, ports, databases, and WHOIS records.

Benefits & Compensation
- Our estimated base pay range for an Underwriter is $90,000-$115,000 and for a Senior Underwriter is $110,000-$150,000 per year.
