PALFINGER is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to define, govern, and monitor secure configurations across our on-premise and cloud environments. As the internal subject matter expert, you will work closely with external service providers performing technical implementations and collaborate with ICT, infrastructure, operations, and support teams to ensure the security and resilience of our identity, network, and cloud platforms.
What You'll Do
- Define and maintain security standards, architectures, and baselines for on-premise Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Purview, and Azure environments, including privileged access and Zero Trust principles.
- Guide, steer, and supervise third-party service providers implementing and operating security configurations, ensuring alignment with internal policies.
- Govern identity and access management, including privileged access management, conditional access, and continuous improvement of Zero Trust capabilities.
- Support and coordinate security monitoring and incident investigations using Microsoft audit and logging tools, SIEM platforms, and endpoint detection solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to design secure network and cloud architectures, including firewall and secure access solutions, and ensure regulatory compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cyber security, with a strong focus on identity, cloud, and network security in enterprise environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical competence).
- Deep technical expertise with Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Azure security, privileged access concepts, Zero Trust, secure network design, and firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Checkpoint), including SASE and remote access.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven experience investigating and interpreting security events using Microsoft security logs, Splunk, and CrowdStrike, and driving remediation via service providers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience collaborating with external partners or managed service providers.
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AZ-500.
- Scripting and automation capabilities.
