Guidehouse is seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve as a Patient Account Representative, managing inbound and outbound customer service calls. You will be the front line for patient inquiries, focusing on first-call resolution and ensuring accurate handling of patient accounts.
What You'll Do
- Answer inbound customer service calls and make outbound follow-up calls professionally, focusing on the patient experience.
- Ascertain the reason for each call and assist callers with questions, concerns, or problems, aiming for first-call resolution.
- Facilitate resolution by referring matters to issue or content experts and escalate to a supervisor when necessary.
- Resubmit Corrected Claims and supporting documentation for the patient.
- Communicate with other organizational departments to ensure proper handling of patient accounts.
- Communicate issues to management in a timely manner and perform a variety of other assigned duties, switching tasks efficiently.
- Utilize advanced computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, PC applications, and math/bookkeeping skills.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of prior relevant experience
Nice to Have
- 1-3 years related or general knowledge of payor-specific or medical specialty billing
- Dialer experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
