First American is hiring a Curative Specialist for a remote opportunity. In this role, you will perform detailed review and analysis of chain of ownership and lien documents to clear property title discrepancies. You will act as a subject matter expert, managing daily pipeline communications with clients and management.
What You'll Do
- Perform detailed review and analysis of chain of ownership and chain of lien documents to clear discrepancies.
- Use proprietary tools to perform research and clearance of discrepancies.
- Communicate with applicable parties involved in the transaction.
- Monitor communications to ensure timely responses.
- Coordinate and communicate daily with Lenders.
- Obtain advice from clients to effectively clear title.
- Reconcile loans in pipeline weekly to confirm all have been reviewed and worked accurately.
- Provide telephone customer service support.
- Provide general assistance with internal communications with other teams to ensure timely delivery of searches.
- Handle client communications via phone and email with empathy and excellent customer service skills.
- Follow functional area’s processes and procedures, troubleshoot as needed, and recommend suggestions for continuous improvements.
- Actively contribute to team results and work toward achieving goals and objectives.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in title review, closing, funding or post closing of residential mortgage loans
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to perform tasks under deadline
- Overall understanding of Mortgage Loan Life Cycle process and mortgage loan documents
- Extreme attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Sound independent judgment
- Customer service skills
- Proficient in all MS Office applications

- Compensation: $22.80 - $30.38/hour
