The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Crime Victim Compensation Board Member for a voluntary, unpaid position. You will review and determine eligibility for victim claims seeking reimbursement of expenses resulting from violent crimes. This role requires a three-year commitment and participation in monthly virtual meetings.
What You'll Do
- Review and determine if eligibility requirements were met on victim claims for reimbursement of crime-related expenses.
- Read and comprehend board packets and participate in the monthly board meeting.
- Maintain confidentiality due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the information.
- Exercise discretion in the application of policies, procedures, and guidelines of the program.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must reside in Pinal County.
- Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age, a United States citizen or legal resident.
- Must successfully pass and complete a background examination.
- Able to read details of crimes.
- Must have access to reliable internet (all meetings are virtual).
- Have an email address.
- Have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
- Able to navigate software programs such as Google Drive.
- Commitment of three years of service for volunteers.
- Commitment to attend ongoing meetings and required training.
Team & Environment
The position is under the supervision of the PCAO Victim Compensation Coordinator.
Work Mode
This is a remote position. You must reside in Pinal County.
