Empower Finance is looking for a Credit Analyst to support the growth and risk management of our India lending business, NIRA Finance. In this role, you will help shape credit policy, drive performance insights, and partner cross-functionally to deliver impactful solutions for customers.
What You'll Do
- Develop new credit policies and regularly review and update existing ones to support Empower’s business in India.
- Collaborate with the technology team to implement and rigorously test policy changes.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and actionable insights.
- Continuously monitor portfolio performance and benchmark against industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Data Science team to influence and use models that solve business problems and enhance analytical tools.
- Work with NIRA's leadership team to refine and execute business plans.
- Partner with other credit and data science teams internationally and in the US to identify transferable learnings and strategies.
- Partner with leaders in product, engineering, marketing, and finance to ensure team alignment.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in credit risk, data analytics, or unsecured lending.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and Excel for data analysis, automation, and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly.
- Familiarity with credit policy development and risk monitoring frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.
