Washington University in St. Louis is hiring a Credentialing Assistant (Remote) - Neurology

About the Role

Washington University in St. Louis seeks a detail-oriented Credentialing Assistant to join our Neurology department remotely. You will play a central role in managing the credentialing and re-credentialing process for medical staff and managed care providers, ensuring our team maintains the highest standards of compliance and readiness.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the accountable party for the initial and continuous verification of credentials for medical staff members and healthcare providers.
  • Ensure ongoing state and federal licensure compliance with JCAHO and NCQA standards, hospital bylaws, and managed care contracts.
  • Maintain current and accurate data in the system credentials database, utilizing it to generate reports, lists, and rosters as needed.
  • Oversee permanent credentialing files, assuring accuracy and maintaining a state of readiness for review or audit at all times.
  • Participate in training and developing HMP personnel on credentialing verification issues.
  • Assure the confidentiality and integrity of all aspects of the credentialing verification program.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification, or a combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Nice to Have

  • Skills in credentialing, medical offices, and medical staff credentialing.

  • Compensation: $20.57 - $30.84 per hour.
