Vaco is hiring a Credentialed Tax Expert for a part-time, remote role during the upcoming tax season. You will help customers complete their taxes using our platform, providing expert tax advice and full-service return preparation.
What You'll Do
- Help customers complete their taxes using company products.
- Provide tax advice, full service return preparation, tax calculations, and manage product inquiries.
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers in everyday language.
- Use state of the art video communication software to interact with customers in a virtual, customer-facing role.
- Document interactions to maintain accurate records.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns, using commercial tax preparation software.
- An active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws.
- An active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Must have (or be willing to obtain) an internet connection that meets Security criteria.
- Must be available to work an average of 15-20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
