About the Role
The Counsel will lead contract lifecycle management, provide legal guidance on operations, and collaborate cross-functionally to support scalable business practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end contract processes including drafting, negotiation, and execution
- Advise internal teams on legal risks related to commercial agreements
- Develop and maintain standardized contract templates and playbooks
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams on deal structures
- Support legal operations improvements and workflow automation
- Maintain contract repositories and ensure data accuracy
- Identify opportunities to streamline legal processes
- Partner with external counsel when necessary
- Monitor regulatory changes impacting contract practices
- Train stakeholders on contract policies and procedures
- Escalate high-risk issues to senior legal leadership
- Conduct due diligence for partnerships and vendor agreements
- Review non-disclosure agreements and master service agreements
- Support corporate governance initiatives
- Assist in audits and compliance reviews
- Coordinate with finance on contract-related billing terms
- Evaluate third-party vendor legal requirements
- Maintain confidentiality across all legal matters
- Track key performance metrics for legal operations
