About the Role

Bantrel Co. is seeking a Cost Analyst to join our team working on the Ontario Line Subway (OLS) Project in Toronto. This role offers the opportunity to perform cost engineering and analysis within an integrated team for the design, build, operations, and maintenance of a major transit infrastructure project.

What You'll Do

  • Provide support to project financial reporting, trending functions, and the invoice review process.
  • Interface with management and field teams for cost control monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
  • Own quarterly financial reporting and work with Project Management to develop financial strategies, goals, and metrics.
  • Support the project team with detailed monitoring and analysis of project budgets, schedules, and actuals.
  • Assist in preparing cost data for proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Perform or coordinate quantity development and verification for assigned disciplines.
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct the preparation of specific budgets.
  • Develop and implement requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards.
  • Assist in developing project codes of accounts and recommend appropriate modifications.
  • Independently provide financial and cost reporting, trending analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyze, develop, and present impact integration measures.
  • Provide support to the PC Supervisor as requested.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or business management, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project controls experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.
  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, control, analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in other areas of project controls such as planning, scheduling, or estimating.
  • Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.

Team & Environment

You will be part of the Project Controls Management department and work within an integrated team with the customer organization for the Ontario Line Subway Project. You will provide support to the PC Supervisor.

  • Compensation range of $100,000 - $125,000 CAD per year.

Work Mode
