Salesforce is seeking a dynamic and technologically proficient legal professional to bolster its robust US public sector business. This position will primarily concentrate on crafting, evaluating, analyzing, and negotiating agreements with US public sector customers, partners, and resellers—encompassing federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial government and public educational entities. The role involves collaborating with diverse team members within Salesforce and across our customer ecosystem, addressing matters ranging from software licensing negotiations to corporate policy development and compliance training. The position is available in the DC, Maryland, Virginia metropolitan region. Responsibilities: - Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate public sector and commercial contracts, including technology licensing, professional services, and distribution agreements - Collaborate with Salesforce legal teams and cross-functional groups to ensure agreement terms align with business objectives - Advise internal clients on legal and business issues, managing risks and opportunities - Provide diligence on existing corporate agreements and propose solutions - Proactively evaluate and communicate potential risks with management - Deliver subject matter expert training on public sector sales topics - Engage in continuous process improvement and legal team problem-solving Required Skills and Qualifications: - Juris Doctor degree with admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction - Minimum 5 years combined legal experience in law firms or in-house departments - Expertise in commercial agreement drafting, review, and negotiation - Comprehensive knowledge of government contracts law - Ability to understand business contexts and anticipate potential issues - Strong relationship-building and teamwork skills - Exceptional integrity and commitment to organizational values - Experience in government contract security and compliance Unleash Your Potential Joining Salesforce means experiencing limitless opportunities.
