ProfitCoach is hiring a Corporate Accounting Specialist for a full-time, long-term remote position providing hands-on corporate accounting support for U.S. property management companies. You will Own the Outcome for aspects of the monthly financial review process, assisting with client communications, reconciliations, and accounting cleanup projects.
What You'll Do
- Perform monthly financial review for 20+ clients, analyzing Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify key financial variances, trends, and anomalies compared to prior periods.
- Review revenue and expenses, highlighting unusual or material movements.
- Draft client-facing emails summarizing findings, questions, and recommendations.
- Generate and customize accurate financial reports based on client requirements within agreed timelines.
- Assist the team in meeting monthly and annual Financial Close deadlines.
- Respond to client questions regarding transaction coding decisions.
- Assist with accounting cleanup, categorizing backlogged bank feed activity, and performing bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Act as a backup processor for Bank Fees, coding transactions according to written processes.
- Record payroll transactions for clients based on Labor Allocation Reports.
What We're Looking For
- Background in Accounting or proven understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience in Quickbooks Online (QBO).
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to understand new concepts with written and hands-on support.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Previous experience in property management accounting.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Xero.
- Familiarity with the NARPM Standard Chart of Accounts.
- Experience navigating reports in AppFolio.
- Payroll processing and payroll tax filing experience.
- Prior experience with financial auditing or financial review.
