Suncorp Bank, part of the ANZ Group, is hiring a Controls Testing Specialist for its first line risk Control Uplift & Testing Team. This role sits within Non-Financial Risk in the Retail Australia division and is responsible for managing the complete control testing lifecycle for Retail and Commercial divisions, assessing the design and operating effectiveness of all control types.
What You'll Do
- Manage the execution of the testing schedule by performing control design and operating effectiveness testing for all control types (manual, ITDM, automated, and automated with Bots via CMV), complying with NFR Framework requirements.
- Identify opportunities for control uplift, rationalisation, and improvement to strengthen the control landscape.
- Identify improvements to underlying control testing processes to achieve productivity and efficiency gains without compromising quality.
- Manage timely, effective, and efficient escalation of issues.
- Build strong and influential relationships with key stakeholders.
- Support the implementation and operation of the NFR Framework.
- Test all control operating types, including manual, IT dependent manual (ITDM), automated, and automated with Bots via continuous monitoring verification (CMV).
- Identify gaps in the control environment and determine actions required to uplift and strengthen it.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in control effectiveness assessment and testing across all control operational types: manual, ITDM, automated, and automated with Bots via continuous monitoring verification (CMV).
- Experience in quality assurance and quality control.
- Applied understanding of risk management practices to assist the business with proactive and sustainable control design for new and existing products, processes, and technology solutions, including Risk Profile Management.
- Experienced user of GRC systems, frameworks, reporting, and other tools required to help the business manage non-financial risks.
- Excellent clear, concise, effective, and persuasive verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A continuous improvement and growth mindset, with a desire to identify, assess, and improve the control environment and present risk data in meaningful, timely, and innovative ways.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to extract and process key information, translate it into practical insight, and influence decisions.
