About the Role

The People Group is looking for a Contractor - Amazon Marketing Specialist to fully own and operate a small but growing Amazon store end-to-end. You will be the sole owner of the storefront, responsible for its independent management, optimization, and growth with minimal oversight.

What You'll Do

  • Fully manage and operate the Amazon Seller Central account.
  • Own the day-to-day health, performance, and profitability of the store.
  • Add, launch, and manage new SKUs and product listings.
  • Optimize product titles, bullet points, descriptions, images, and backend keywords.
  • Price products strategically based on Amazon fees, margins, and competitive analysis.
  • Scale the catalog by adding products from other brands.
  • Analyze product-level profitability, margins, and Amazon fee structures.
  • Forecast and monitor advertising spend vs. return.
  • Plan, launch, and manage Amazon PPC campaigns.
  • Set and manage advertising budgets aligned with profitability goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenishment needs.
  • Handle Amazon-related operational tasks, including returns and customer service issues.
  • Improve rankings and organic visibility over time.
  • Identify opportunities to increase conversion rates and average order value.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of hands-on Amazon Seller Central experience.
  • Proven experience managing Amazon stores end-to-end, not just listings or design.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon fees and profitability modeling.
  • Strong understanding of product pricing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of PPC campaign setup and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of listing optimization and ranking factors.
  • Comfortable working independently with little to no training or supervision.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience managing or scaling small to mid-sized Amazon stores.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • Self-starter who can 'take the keys' and run the Amazon store independently.
  • Comfortable being the only Amazon specialist on the team.
  • Strong problem-solver who can figure things out quickly.
  • Detail-oriented but commercially minded.
  • Confident making decisions without constant validation.
  • Thinks in terms of profitability, not just activity.
  • Hands-on Amazon specialist who enjoys executing, fixing, and optimizing.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning the store day-to-day.
  • Able to identify issues independently without needing constant direction.
  • Strong collaborator who can work across marketing, tech, and external vendors.
  • Comfortable joining and contributing to technical discussions and calls.
  • For senior candidates: confident leading integrations and implementation projects end-to-end.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Monthly compensation range of $2,000–$4,000 USD, depending on experience and demonstrated competency.
  • Monthly health and wellness reimbursement, capped at $50 USD.

This is a fully remote position open to global candidates.
