Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered primary care using both asynchronous and synchronous methods, applying clinical judgment to triage, manage, and refer patients as needed.
- Develop lasting patient relationships that promote ongoing engagement and high satisfaction.
- Handle a fast-paced workload of at least 20 asynchronous cases daily while upholding excellent clinical standards.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically, following and improving team communication practices.
- Quickly learn and independently troubleshoot Sana’s clinical platforms, AI-assisted workflows, and tools to optimize processes.
- Actively help improve clinical protocols, workflows, or operations to enhance patient experience, quality, or efficiency.
- Collaborate with clinical, product, and operations teams with humility and a focus on shared success.
- Use data and clinical insights to support proactive panel management, close care gaps, and improve outcomes as population health capabilities grow.
Requirements
- Available to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time.
- Hold an active, unrestricted Texas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate license.
- At least 3 years of experience providing primary care to adults.
- Strong clinical judgment and dedication to high-quality primary care.
- Excited to deliver primarily asynchronous care and comfortable making clinical decisions via messaging, escalating to synchronous care when needed.
- Efficient multitasker who thrives in fast-paced environments.
- Technically skilled, curious, and open to innovation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative, low-ego team player who assumes positive intent and uses compassionate candor to solve problems.
- Bias for action combined with intelligent risk-taking.
- Mission-driven and motivated to improve healthcare for patients and clinicians.
Nice to Have
- Additional active state licenses are a plus.
- Experience in virtual care and/or a startup environment is a plus.

- Contract duration: six months, primarily to provide parental leave coverage, with potential to transition into a longer-term, full-time position.
