Givaudan seeks a Continuous Improvement Specialist to champion and deploy continuous improvement activities, projects, and culture within the Production Compositions department at our Vernier site. You will play a key role in supporting departmental strategy, providing training and coaching, and driving specific business improvement projects.
What You'll Do
- Support the preparation and design of the department's strategy, including identifying, selecting, and prioritizing improvement initiatives, allocating resources, and defining execution schedules.
- Develop employee skills by providing training, coaching, and mentoring on core CI methodologies, including fundamentals (5S, 8 wastes, problem solving), Yellow Belt, visual performance management, and specific tools.
- Support the implementation and facilitation of effective daily, weekly, and monthly performance reviews and problem-solving sessions at team and department levels, including defining and automating KPI performance indicators.
- Introduce and support the deployment of the Visual Performance Management System (VPMS) as a standard practice for the entire organization to manage daily performance.
- Support the department in preparing the Continuous Improvement Maturity Assessment (CIMA) and follow up with teams based on results.
- Lead and provide support for specific business improvement projects.
- Support and coordinate the progress of approved CI projects and programs, tracking resource plans, responsibilities, deadlines, and managing communications to stakeholders.
- Coach and support department employees engaged in Yellow Belt projects.
- Deploy and facilitate the 5S approach across the entire department.
- Be present on the ground to support teams in sustainably adopting and implementing 5S standards.
- Act as a change facilitator, positively influencing teams and fostering buy-in for continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- University degree or engineering diploma in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Green Belt certification.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in continuous improvement or project management.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools, especially the implementation of 5S, ideally in a production environment.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Excellent command of IT tools such as MS Office and Google App.
- Driven by continuous improvement.
- Recognized for your initiative, dynamism, teamwork, and cooperation.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, naturally customer-oriented.
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards site changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Nice to Have
- Black Belt certification is a serious asset.
- Advanced skills in Excel, especially macros, are a serious asset.
- Mastery of Power BI and a programming language is an advantage.
