The Content Strategist will be part of the Organic Performance department within the Content and Client Account team at Omnicom Media UK. This role focuses on delivering performance-driven content marketing strategies for a UK finance client, covering SEO, GEO, and User Experience, while acting as the day-to-day contact for all content activities and supporting the wider content team in shaping digital content strategy.
What You'll Do
- Deliver and manage performance-driven content marketing strategies covering SEO, GEO, and User Experience for a UK finance client
- Act as a day-to-day contact for all content activity, including strategic direction, insights, on-site content creation, and other on-site marketing elements
- Drive performance and achieve business objectives through content initiatives
- Report into the Senior Content Strategist and support the wider Content Team in shaping OMD UK’s approach to digital content
- Support the Senior Content Strategist and Content Business Director on all content-related matters
- Advocate for the adoption of content strategies to drive digital performance across traditional and emerging environments, including LLM
- Steer content strategies and create editorial content pieces for some of the largest brands in the UK
- Collaborate with departments outside of Organic Performance such as brand content, paid search, influencer marketing, and external agencies
What We're Looking For
- Some experience and interest in full end-to-end content strategy creation and execution
- Knowledge of the role content plays in driving performance across channels
- A good understanding of SEO/GEO and its role in content strategy and on-site content performance
- Ability to identify content opportunities and develop evidence-based strategies to meet client objectives
- Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and clients
- Ability to report on content performance (ROI analysis / post campaign analysis) of all campaigns
- Understanding of what key metrics and KPIs measure content success
- Proactive in seeking new, innovative, workable ideas to enhance content strategies
Nice to Have
- Strong copywriting and editorial skills are highly desirable
- An interest and understanding of organic social and influencer marketing is a bonus
- Experience with SEO and content marketing tools is a bonus
