WSP USA Inc. is hiring a Content and Proposal Writer with French competency level C1 to support our Canada-based Research & Innovation Team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and managing proposals, discussion papers, and marketing collateral that showcase our innovative services in digital innovation, machine learning, and IoT. You'll also provide support to our marketing team with qualifications packages.
What You'll Do
- Develop and write content for proposals, discussion papers, grants, collateral, and other marketing deliverables.
- Serve as an author for proposal sections, conveying technical information simply and telling the company's story.
- Provide copy editing, proofreading, and final reviews for proposals and marketing deliverables.
- Edit copy to meet page limitations.
- Deliver high-quality writing by gathering information through research, reports, and interviews.
- Leverage firm resources to support all stages of the pursuit and differentiate the company to clients.
- Support the development of differentiators, value propositions, and key messages.
- Apply new technologies and innovations, including creative media approaches and digital tools, for proposals and presentations.
- Provide support and guidance to the proposal development team to ensure compliance, readability, quality, and sales messaging.
- Support marketing coordinators and managers with proposal production as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree.
- French competency level C1 is a prerequisite.
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant role.
- Ability to write and produce compelling content under tight deadlines.
- Understanding of journalistic writing styles, including the inverted pyramid approach.
- Ability to follow a style guide like AP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, marketing strategy development, group facilitation, and teamwork.
- Strategic mindset and sound judgment.
- Ability to build trust, influence others, and work with all levels of staff.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications-related software.
- A self-motivated team member who demonstrates initiative and can effectively multitask.
- Cultural awareness, conscientious and open mind.
Nice to Have
- Degree in Engineering.
- Experience in the A/E/C or professional services sectors.
