The Content Acquisition Analyst supports the development and execution of podcast and video podcast deals with major enterprise partners. This role is central to evaluating new content opportunities, analyzing deal structures, and ensuring alignment with broader content and business strategies.
What You'll Do
- Identify and assess emerging podcast and video podcast opportunities that support strategic content objectives.
- Analyze potential deals across a range of publishers, platforms, and networks—both large and niche—evaluating commercial viability and fit.
- Examine revenue models including advertising (CPM, revenue share), premium content, and subscription-based podcasting to inform deal design.
- Review financial models, revenue projections, and commercial assumptions using defined evaluation criteria.
- Use performance data and dashboards to guide decision-making during deal assessment and negotiation phases.
- Co-lead negotiations with podcast networks, media partners, and enterprise creators, discussing terms and aligning on deal tiers.
- Manage contract processes from proposal to final execution, including documentation, internal routing, and compliance filing.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Sales, and Content teams to ensure smooth deal progression and timely delivery.
- Support senior Business Affairs leadership while independently overseeing specific deal pipelines and workstreams.
Requirements
- Professional experience in business affairs, content partnerships, deal operations, or commercial strategy within media, digital content, or podcasting.
- Familiarity with podcast monetization, including ad models, branded content, subscriptions, and video podcasting economics.
- Proven ability to assess and manage media deals from initial analysis through to final execution.
- Confidence engaging directly with partners on commercial terms during live discussions.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent deals accurately.
- Experience coordinating contract workflows and working closely with legal departments.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in evaluating financial models and forecasting data.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities across diverse teams and functions.

Work Mode
This role operates in a hybrid format, available in New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA. Employees have flexibility in where they work, with an expectation of 2–3 in-person meetings per week to support collaboration.
