AECOM is hiring a Contaminated Land Scientist

AECOM is looking for a Contaminated Land Scientist to join our Geosciences and Remediation Services team within our environmental practice. You will tackle challenging projects across various sectors, with a mix of fieldwork and office work on both local and interstate client sites.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct preliminary and detailed site investigations including preparation, sampling, and reporting.
  • Perform due diligence assessments.
  • Manage data and produce digital reports.
  • Develop remedial action plans and site validation reports.
  • Supervise sub-contractors and remediation contractors during remediation work.

What We're Looking For

  • Open driver's licence and ability to obtain Defence security clearance.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in contaminated land management and environmental services, or a demonstrated interest to move into this field.
  • Proficiency in site investigations including sampling for soil, soil vapour, surface water, and groundwater.
  • Strong communication skills and experience with data management software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, agriculture, or earth science.
  • Ability to work safely on-site and manage subcontractors; willingness to work remotely.
