Boots Opticians is hiring a Contact Lens Optician

Boots Opticians is looking for a Contact Lens Optician to join our team in Brighton. In this key role, you will provide high-level customer care and expert advice, using your clinical skills to enhance the patient journey. You will work across our clinics and wider store, reporting to the Store Manager, as part of our mission to help everyone see what’s possible.

What You'll Do

• Use your passion for delivering patient care to work with colleagues and deliver a positive customer journey.
• Build longstanding relationships with colleagues, customers, and local healthcare professionals, exploring opportunities for enhanced services.
• Use your up-to-date knowledge of contact lens technology and spectacle dispensing to train and develop the wider optical team.
• Validate complex prescriptions and provide expert knowledge for vulnerable groups and patients with more specialist requirements.
• Supervise a Student Contact Lens Optician or Student Dispensing Optician.

What We're Looking For

• Full GOC registration.
• Qualified as a Contact Lens Optician.
• A genuine passion for patient care.

Nice to Have

• Ability to embrace new technologies.

Team & Environment

You will join a large and supportive team of 19 colleagues, including 4 resident Optometrists, 2 Dispensing Opticians, and 1 Contact Lens Optician. You'll work in-store across clinics and the wider store to support day-to-day operations, reporting to the Store Manager/Hub Manager.
