TD Bank Group is hiring a Consumer Loan Processor III to provide critical support to lending areas. In this role, you'll review the accuracy of complex consumer loans from conditional approval to closing, acting as a Loan Originator by taking applications, arranging credit transactions, and preparing loan documentation.
What You'll Do
- Contact customers directly to obtain conditions placed by lender or underwriter.
- Prepare required loan documentation for approved loan applications such as disclosures.
- Provide support to customers, branches, and lending staff as needed.
- Contact customers to collect and review additional information as necessary.
- Answer phones in queue as well as personal line to assist customers.
- May test new systems and documentation software.
- May assist in training of Loan Processor I and II.
- Process all specialty products.
- Review and verify all required support materials, such as titles and floods, to ensure files are ready for closing.
- Advise customers regarding changes in rate and term.
- Maintain regular communication with the customer by phone or email depending on customer preference.
- Accurately document conversations with customers in the loan file.
- Establish and follow up on due dates for documentation.
- Complete all annual required training on a timely basis.
What We're Looking For
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years loan documentation experience.
- Knowledge of Bank loan products and policies.
- Knowledge of lending software.
- Detail-oriented with ability to multitask.
- Ability to handle heavy workload and meet stringent deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to interact effectively with all customers, both internal and external.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of states’ regulations.
- PC skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (rotation of nights and/or weekends).
- Must be eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z standards.
- Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS.
- Satisfactory results on a criminal background check and a credit report check.
Nice to Have
- Strong retail customer service background preferred.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish, French) preferred.
