UNESCO is looking for a Consultant to provide implementation and global communication support for the Memory of the World Initiative to Safeguard Documentary Heritage at Risk project. You will play a key role in managing this critical initiative under the supervision of the Head of the Unit for Documentary Heritage.
What You'll Do
- Manage contracts between UNESCO and selected applicant entities, assisting with finalization and liaising with entities and internal divisions.
- Monitor and facilitate the implementation of selected proposals, tracking progress and finalizing payment procedures.
- Draft a narrative progress report for the donor in English by March 2026, including proposing structure, communication plan, and liaising with colleagues for production.
- Finalize and follow up on action steps from the annual project report and draft the final project report by January 2027.
- Provide strategic support for communications and visibility efforts, including developing news articles, social media content, and other materials.
- Assist in supporting the implementation of activities planned within the project framework in cooperation with other staff and consultants.
What We're Looking For
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in the field of information, communication, or archival science.
Team & Environment
You will work under the overall authority of the Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information and the direct supervision of the Head of the Unit for Documentary Heritage.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based in Paris.
