About the Role

Absa Bank is seeking a Consultant Life Insurance Distribution Support to act as a specialist partner to advisers in Risk Planning. In this role, you will empower advisers with specialized knowledge to provide superior service and add significant value to clients and the Advice & Investments business.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with advisers, AIFA Regional Managers, branch staff, bankers, and relationship managers across Private, Business, and Retail Banking.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Absa Life and the adviser.
  • Assist advisers to put strategies in place to achieve Absa Life policy count, premium, commission, and wills targets.
  • Analyze the adviser’s book to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Ensure advisers understand and adhere to our advice philosophy.
  • Train advisers and their staff on Absa Life products, systems, and processes, promoting digital adoption.
  • Keep abreast of the risk market by reading and sourcing information on competitors.
  • Update advisers on internal process changes and product enhancements.
  • Engage branch staff through presentations on the Absa Life product offering.
  • Provide advisers with sales support information.
  • Support AIFA Regional Managers with their sales initiatives.
  • Improve service delivery by escalating and resolving relevant Product House queries.
  • Engage with Absa Life stakeholders and provide input on product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the Legal and Advisory Specialist and Investment Consultant to close business opportunities and retain clients.
  • Document formalized Service Level Agreements with advisors and Regional Managers.
  • Collaborate with AIFA Regional Managers to coordinate regional campaigns and competitions.
  • Support regional and national campaigns and competitions.

What We're Looking For

  • 5 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • An NQF 6 qualification or higher.
  • A Bachelor's Degree and/or Professional Qualifications in Business, Commerce, and Management Studies.
