Kiewit Corporation is hiring a Construction Quality Control Manager for its Industrial District. You will be responsible for the successful development and implementation of the Project Quality Plan and procedures, managing and educating project personnel to ensure quality standards are met. This role oversees field quality inspection, testing, and documentation.
What You'll Do
- Promote and maintain effective communications with district management, project teams, inspectors, and clients.
- Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and supervise district and project quality control inspectors.
- Coordinate and assign quality control staffing needs across projects.
- Work with other districts to share resources as needed.
- Assist project teams in setting up the quality department and preparing for project kick-off meetings.
- Assist in identifying proper Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and other project documentation.
- Support the development and implementation of project quality plans and supplemental procedures.
- Facilitate issue resolution by working with Project Quality Managers and Project Managers.
- Monitor and report district quality incidents.
- Oversee code compliance for all work.
- Serve as liaison between the authorized inspection agency and jurisdictional authorities.
- Assist in acquiring authorized inspection services for projects.
- Research technical questions and assist in interpreting construction codes and standards.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
- At least 10 years’ experience developing and implementing construction quality management programs in the Infrastructure industry.
- Certified Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification is required.
- Experience working on commercial and/or industrial buildings is required.
- Exceptional math, computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Regular, reliable attendance and the ability to work productively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others.
- Ability to perform work safely, understand and follow oral and written instructions, and adhere to policies.
- Ability to work during normal operating hours, with overtime and weekends as required.
- Ability to work at various locations where conditions may vary.
