Southern California Edison is hiring a Construction Material Coordinator to support grid operations in Hysperia. This onsite role is central to coordinating construction, maintenance, and material logistics, ensuring projects are completed on time and accurately while managing budgets and compliance.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate the ordering, delivery, and staging of material and equipment for grid work.
- Manage and organize the grid tool room and emergency stock to ensure crews have necessary tools.
- Perform field visits, documenting safety information while following all safety rules and procedures.
- Keep grids updated on ground rotations and ensure proper dating and testing of rubber goods.
- Work with facilities management on proper storage of hazardous and flammable materials and general housekeeping.
- Support the Grid Production Specialist with validating contractor invoices for traffic control in Ariba.
- Assist in coordinating meetings such as All Hands, Patrolman, and Foreman meetings.
- Develop, monitor, track, and support operational compliance activities related to training, reporting, and audits.
- Act as backup, supporting Production Specialist and Supervision with pre-construction coordination for traffic control and heavy equipment.
- Ensure the protection of all company physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, handling sensitive information with the highest integrity.
What We're Looking For
- Five or more years of experience in grid construction or material coordination.
- Possession of a valid Class C Driver’s License.
Nice to Have
- One year of experience with planning and/or basic construction.
- Experience with project management and operational policies, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with construction-related standards and industry practices.
- Experience with ordering construction tools and materials.
