FortisBC is looking for a Conservation & Energy Management Project Specialist to join its award-winning Innovative Technology program. You will help shape the future of natural gas by designing and executing innovative research and pilot activities for Deep Energy Retrofits in existing buildings.
What You'll Do
- Build rapport and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including procurement, legal, municipalities, and industry associations.
- Identify, prioritize, and advance new innovative technology solutions with significant potential to reduce natural gas consumption, and develop project business cases.
- Work across departments to execute project deliverables, which may include requests for proposals, legal agreements, and privacy and audit requirements.
- Prioritize the development cycle and execute initiatives to increase participation, customer satisfaction, and streamline operations.
- Become an industry expert by developing extensive networks with market actors and driving the adoption of Demand Side Management (DSM) innovative technologies.
- Target inefficiencies to improve the execution of current and future projects.
- Identify new natural gas DSM technologies and lead their advancement in the market.
What We're Looking For
- A diploma in a related discipline, such as business, plus a minimum of three years of relevant, demonstrated success.
- A proven track record in designing and delivering successful multi-stakeholder projects on time, on budget, and within scope.
- Exceptional organizational, technical, and analytical skills to support measurement and verification activities and reporting.
- A demonstrated ability to manage a team and to work independently to successfully execute projects.
Nice to Have
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation is considered an asset.
- Previous experience with delivering and communicating DSM programs and experience working in a regulated utility would be an asset.
