FortisBC is hiring a Conservation & Energy Management Program Specialist

As a Conservation & Energy Management Program Specialist, you will play a key role in advancing residential energy efficiency by designing and managing programs that reduce consumption and support long-term sustainability. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to identify opportunities, refine program structures, and ensure smooth delivery from concept to execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build strong partnerships and provide expert guidance on program design and implementation.
  • Identify and integrate appropriate technologies and best practices to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Lead end-to-end development of new or updated conservation initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage ongoing operations of residential energy efficiency programs, including budget oversight, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Develop strategies to promote advanced mechanical and building envelope solutions in new home construction.
  • Support regulatory submissions and contribute to compliance-related activities.

Qualifications

You bring a recognized diploma in marketing, communications, or a related field, along with at least three years of recent experience in program development. You’re skilled in project coordination, financial planning, and stakeholder engagement, with a consistent focus on delivering results in complex environments.

Preferred candidates will hold NRCan Energy Advisor certification and demonstrate proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and Microsoft Dynamics.
