This role focuses on pre-sales engineering support by generating precise, scalable, and competitive Bills of Materials (BOMs) in collaboration with major OEM partners. The position is essential in shaping solution designs, optimizing pricing strategies, and ensuring configurations meet both customer requirements and internal compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Track and respond to quote requests through the ServiceNow platform
- Handle BOM request tickets from initiation to resolution within ServiceNow
- Use OEM-specific tools to generate accurate pricing for sales and engineering teams
- Verify that all BOMs meet customer specifications, technical design criteria, and organizational standards
- Deliver informed recommendations on new solution designs for client environments
- Maximize pricing competitiveness and margin by leveraging OEM promotions, bundles, and incentive programs
- Partner with alliance teams to support OEM training and certification initiatives for engineering staff
- Ensure configurations comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Experience collaborating with technical and pre-sales engineering teams
- Solid knowledge of hardware, software, and service configurations across multiple OEMs
- Proven background in developing and evaluating complex Bills of Materials
- Familiarity with solution design or device configuration management processes
- Strong communication, listening, and presentation abilities
Nice to Have
- Background working at a systems integrator, value-added reseller, or government contractor
- Demonstrated technical and consultative problem-solving capabilities
- Understanding of competitive technology offerings to inform strategic decisions
- Possession of OEM certifications such as HPE Professional, Cisco Certified Specialist, or Dell Sales Portfolio credentials
