Conexiom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Development Team. You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment on our proven product, contributing in a senior and leadership capacity to the design and architecture of new features.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy software integrating AI APIs for features like natural language processing, chatbots, or recommendation systems.
- Take ownership of projects, stories, and tasks, and follow through.
- Break down stories into technical tasks with high accuracy and ensure all stories and technical tasks for the team are ready before sprint starts.
- Work as part of an Agile team creating new features and delivering improvements in every sprint.
- Quickly learn and contribute to the documentation of the existing infrastructure and architecture.
- Recommend and implement improvements to the existing development process.
- Assist engineering management as required with projects and deliverables.
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and mentoring of team members. Lead other engineers by example.
- Collaborate effectively with teammates by adopting a hybrid Work-From-Home arrangement with minimum two days in office per week.
What We're Looking For
- 5 to 10 years software development experience with Microsoft .NET, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, RESTful Web APIs, and Databases (Sql, NoSql, Serverless).
- Significant experience developing and supporting a 7x24 SaaS solution.
- Significant experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft, Google or Amazon).
- Strong familiarity with AI Agent tooling (Copilot and Cursor), and Agentic AI.
- Knowledge of AI model limitations, prompt engineering, and output validation.
- Experience with AI APIs and frameworks (OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.).
- Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes) or CI/CD pipelines.
- Significant experience with development tools (Visual Studio, Jira, Azure DevOps, etc).
- Significant experience with the SDLC process (Design, Implement, QA, Release, Maintain).
- Effective communicator and collaborator.
- Self-directed; executes general goals and knows when and how to seek assistance from management.
- Proactive, results-oriented personality who takes initiative and seizes opportunity.
- Detail-oriented, analytical and focused on building maintainable and extensible solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Proven track record of working with a team that successfully delivers on a product vision.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Engineering.
Nice to Have
- Strong experience with Java and Python is a plus.
- Experience building an enterprise class business automation solution an asset.
