This position supports a Naval customer through software design, development, testing, and implementation to enhance data quality and system performance. The role operates in a hybrid remote and onsite environment in New Orleans, LA, emphasizing collaboration, problem solving, and continuous learning to deliver reliable technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, document, and deploy software improvements to enhance data accuracy, fix issues, and meet regulatory and operational requirements.
- Collaborate within a team to maintain and upgrade systems in alignment with functional and environmental specifications.
- Engage directly with customers to identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues efficiently.
Requirements
- One year of experience in software design, development, and test evaluation.
- One year of experience in database development, web design, computer-based training, and reporting tools such as Jasper Reports, along with version control using Git.
- Proven ability to write, test, and document Java code using object-oriented programming principles.
- Proficiency in SQL, including constructing queries to retrieve data from normalized databases with complex relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Oracle JDeveloper and the ADF (Application Development Framework) for application development.
- Basic understanding of Oracle WebLogic Server administration.
- Working knowledge of MS Project for workflow design and task tracking.
- Experience with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Ability to obtain or already hold a DOD Public Trust security clearance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
