finmid is looking for a Compliance Manager to lead the compliance and anti-money laundering function for its Latvian subsidiary, which is licensed as a European Crowdfunding Service Provider by the Bank of Latvia. You'll provide strategic advice, ensure compliance with Latvian and European regulations, and shape the compliance strategy for our fast-growing fintech.
What You'll Do
- Enhance and further develop the compliance function within the Latvian entity.
- Establish and oversee all compliance & AML operations in Latvia, ensuring alignment with European regulations and local legal requirements.
- Provide strategic input and advise the senior management team on legal and regulatory risks associated with services, corporate governance, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure Group's Latvian operations are in compliance with Bank of Latvia’s and European requirements, including ongoing oversight of licensing requirements and reporting obligations.
- Draft and implement policies and procedures to manage legal risks, data protection, and conflicts of interest.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 2-3 years of previous work at a consulting firm, law firm, or financial services provider.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, risk management, business administration, or a related discipline OR a law degree from Latvia.

- Previous exposure to compliance or financial services-related issues.
- Curiosity for financial regulations.
- Ability to draft and develop internal legal & compliance policies and SOPs in precise language.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Skilled at aligning immediate business needs with long-term strategic goals.
