Celestica is hiring a Compliance Engineering Associate at our Bayan Lepas, Penang location. This entry-level role focuses on ensuring product compliance with key environmental regulations through training, structured tasks, and collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Manage business activities to ensure compliance with product environmental legislation such as RoHS, REACH, IEC 62474, and TSCA.
- Prepare supplier survey campaigns and engage suppliers to obtain compliance data within required timelines.
- Check supplier data for completeness, accuracy, and integrity, identifying risks and actions to mitigate them.
- Communicate with clients on compliance inquiries, checking information completeness and providing declaration documentation.
- Find and summarize relevant information to support regular market research on new or changing regulations and their impact.
- Provide input on Celestica policy baseline services for regulatory compliance.
- Initiate continuous improvements on processes and systems.
What We're Looking For
- Zero to two years of relevant experience.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of product environmental legislation and regulations.
- Data management and processing skills with good organizational abilities.
- Ability to gather and analyze data, evaluate problems, determine root causes, and troubleshoot.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external customers.
- Skills in utilizing MS Office applications.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Nice to Have
- Global supplier engagement experience.
- Proficiency in Japanese (minimum N2 level).

This is an indirect Band 06 role reporting to an immediate supervisor. You will work cooperatively with colleagues and suppliers while receiving close supervision and training.
