About the Role

Sezzle is looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our Corporate Compliance team. In this role, you will assist in implementing and maintaining an effective compliance program, focusing on operational policies, training, and oversight within the dynamic pharmacy benefits management (PBM) landscape.

What You'll Do

  • Research compliance program benchmarks, maturity measures, and requirements.
  • Design and enhance the organizational code of conduct.
  • Write, edit, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and program descriptions.
  • Construct specific and effective compliance training and educational materials.
  • Establish and enforce timely reviews of business-owned policies and procedures.
  • Create and manage policy and procedure workgroup initiatives.
  • Assist with compliance vendor oversight activities.
  • Create compliance communication plans to increase workforce engagement.
  • Write and track compliance program responses to RFPs, RFIs, questionnaires, and attestations.
  • Develop job aids, playbooks, and other program documentation.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support our compliant and ethical culture.
  • Assist in developing oversight materials and reporting metrics.
  • Abide by organization retention standards and version controls.
  • Investigate potential or reported issues of non-compliance.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and identify prevention, detection, and correction opportunities.
  • Ensure business partners complete corrective actions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Monitor organizational disciplinary actions and incentives.
  • Collaborate with Legal and other stakeholders to interpret regulations.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in healthcare, compliance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of compliance experience at a PBM or health plan.
  • Strong understanding of the seven elements of a highly effective compliance program.
  • Strong working knowledge of writing healthcare compliance standards and frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of external audit functions and procedures.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy operations and healthcare benefits.
  • Data-driven, big-picture thinker who is solutions-oriented.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills tailored to the audience.
  • Advanced organizational, project, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to establish effective collaborative techniques, such as conflict resolution.

Nice to Have

  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certification in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
  • Direct experience with pharmacy benefits, network, and claims.
  • Current, unrestricted clinical or functional business licensure (e.g., certified pharmacy technician).
  • Strong familiarity with PBM-related healthcare operations and clinical concepts.
  • Strong familiarity with ERISA, Healthcare Exchange Marketplace (Affordable Care Act), Worker’s Compensation, and Medicare.
