Hitachi Solutions is hiring a Compensation Program Manager to design, implement, and manage our compensation programs across the U.S., Canada, and Costa Rica. This hands-on, strategic role is central to supporting our business strategy by creatively addressing market challenges in attracting and retaining top talent.
What You'll Do
- Function as an internal consultant to business leaders and talent acquisition teams, advising on competitive compensation practices with market data and insights.
- Review and improve existing compensation programs to help achieve business and talent goals.
- Design or modify salary structures and manage underlying processes like job documentation, classification, evaluation, and market pricing.
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders to analyze job levels, implement quality controls in classification, and perform audits.
- Participate in compensation surveys to analyze competitive position and recommend company salary structures.
- Lead the annual compensation review, market adjustment, and promotion cycles from administration to communication.
- Lead business stakeholders through incentive plan design, documentation, and calculation.
- Collaborate with finance, payroll, and legal teams to ensure timely and accurate program administration.
- Partner with Finance to build compensation models and forecasts for proper accrual and accounting.
- Build and generate recurrent and ad-hoc compensation reports, guides, and presentations for finance and senior management.
- Conduct analysis and make recommendations on incentive compensation and bonus plans for sales, delivery, and business departments.
- Assist HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition with compensation-related requests, issues, benchmarking, and communications.
- Assist in developing, writing, editing, and modifying operating policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Exercise confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment in all duties.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Organization Development, or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience in compensation plan design and administration within the technology industry, including salary structures and various incentive plans.
- A data-driven, innovative, and solutions-oriented person who can conduct robust analyses and strategically advise business leaders.
- Strong relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches to improve job evaluation and compensation management processes.
- Previous experience working in a rapid growth, complex, and changing work environment.
- Experience with an HRIS (Microsoft Dynamics) and Excel.
- A proven track record of understanding customer needs, showing initiative and urgency to solve problems and follow through.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a Technology Consulting Services organization, preferably with the Microsoft stack (Dynamics, Azure).
