Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is hiring a Commissioning Provider to join its Commissioning & Building Analytics (CBA) team. In this Project Manager role, you will provide reliable support by managing commissioning projects, executing technical field activities, and coordinating with diverse stakeholders throughout all project phases.
What You'll Do
- Carry out commissioning processes and deliverables per ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED requirements.
- Apply working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for inspections, testing, and commissioning.
- Monitor and execute all facets of commissioning projects throughout design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases.
- Liaise with team members, consultants, and contractors to lead cross-functional teams.
- Develop Commissioning Plans and Commissioning Specifications.
- Jointly manage projects, developing commissioning activity schedules and sequence-of-work.
- Conduct comprehensive field-based activities, including site visits, developing test forms, and managing Functional and Integrated Systems Tests.
- Perform Commissioning Design Drawing & Specification Reviews and Submittal reviews.
- Chair Commissioning Meetings.
- Use calibrated testing equipment like flow hoods, anemometers, IR cameras, and Power Quality Meters.
- Test mechanical and HVAC&R systems, building automation systems, plumbing, lighting controls, and power systems.
- Develop, track, and resolve issues using an Issues Log.
- Develop and execute seasonal and performance tests.
- Compile project documentation into Systems Manuals.
- Develop and evaluate training programs for installed equipment.
- Support all project documentation and field activity components front to back.
- Travel up to 50% to client sites across the USA.
- Assist the team in managing a demanding workload.
- Manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently.
- Work individually and in a team environment.
- Apply strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
What We're Looking For
- A recognized university technical degree or equivalent.
- Experience using mechanical testing meters and analyzing reports using equipment like portable data loggers and air flow meters.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant mechanical or electrical engineering and/or field-testing experience.
- Strong data management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office products.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple project schedules concurrently.
Nice to Have
- An Engineering Degree.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or PMP designation.
- Certifications such as CEM, CBCP, CPMP, BCxP, or CxA.
- LEED AP certification.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally when needed.
- Ability to use and analyze results from electrical testing meters like Power Quality Meters, thermography equipment, and NETA testers.
