About the Role
Inspect commercial vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of commercial vehicles.
- Identify and document safety issues and defects.
- Ensure vehicles comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
- Communicate inspection results to vehicle operators and management.
- Recommend necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure all inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve inspection processes.
- Stay updated with changes in regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct roadside inspections as needed.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Perform inspections on various types of commercial vehicles.
- Document and report any safety violations.
- Assist in the development of inspection protocols.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Ensure all inspection reports are submitted on time.
- Conduct follow-up inspections to verify repairs and maintenance.
