Founders Federal Credit Union is hiring a Commercial Relationship Specialist to be a key advisor for our business and organization members. You will be responsible for underwriting and servicing commercial accounts, advising on products and services, and fostering relationships to grow our member business portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Understand and explain membership eligibility, open and approve new accounts (Savings, Checking, ACH origination), and provide account maintenance.
- Obtain all required documentation for deposit or loan requests, with a focus on business and organization accounts.
- Understand all products and services to cross-sell consumer and business offerings like online banking, merchant services, treasury products, and commercial loans.
- Adhere to lending policies and procedures and comply with applicable regulations including BSA.
- Interview loan applicants, review credit reports, and refer consumer/mortgage loan opportunities and investment services.
- Assist the Director of Member Business in developing a small business platform, reaching out to businesses for treasury/deposit and loan products.
- Assist in underwriting participation loans and onboarding businesses to ACH platforms.
- Make credit decisions and obtain necessary loan approvals.
- Work with Senior Management on reporting and present portfolio performance and new products.
- Communicate professionally with internal departments (Consumer Lending, Mortgage, Card Services) and lead vendor relationships.
- Assist with the collection of delinquent accounts.
- Present to large groups of business owners and travel within the FFCU footprint to service members.
- Find innovative processes to improve portfolio growth and research new vendor solutions.
- Register as a Mortgage Loan Originator and attend annual SAFE Act training.
- Encourage a positive member experience to create financial opportunities and improve quality of life.
- Comply with all Founders’ policies and procedures, as well as federal laws and regulations from NCUA and FFIEC.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A 4-year degree is required.
- 5 years of commercial banking experience working with complex financial scenarios and servicing commercial businesses.
- Knowledge of commercial treasury/deposit and loan products.
- Must be detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and follow through on tasks with minimum supervision.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work in various office locations and travel as needed.
