NEC Software Solutions (NECSWS) is hiring a Commercial Assurance Manager to join our Business Operations team. You will provide support to the Head of Business Operations and CFO, managing key commercial processes such as supplier invoicing, monthly billing, backlog management, and terminations. The role involves close collaboration with other operational business teams to ensure commercial integrity and process efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the management of key processes such as monthly billings and forecasts to maximize billing potential.
- Manage key third party suppliers, ensuring back-to-back renewals and timely, accurate invoice payments.
- Work closely with the Finance department and other stakeholders on revenue and commercial assurance.
- Maintain the billing backlog to ensure timely billings and validity of all items.
- Oversee the revenue recognition process for all professional services orders.
- Oversee processes to remove barriers preventing the timely invoicing of commercially sensitive customers.
- Identify and address missed billing opportunities arising from process and departmental errors.
- Oversee termination requests, assessing them, gathering contractual information, and tracking approvals via the Sharepoint Termination portal.
- Support the distribution of licence keys to our customers.
- Provide clear and concise communication and reporting to the senior management team.
- Proactively identify and address opportunities for process efficiencies and improvements with other stakeholders.
- Assist stakeholders to enable compliance with various business processes as required.
- Provide commercial and revenue advice and assistance across the company.
What We're Looking For
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sharepoint.
- Good knowledge of Local Authority invoicing and PO approval processes.
- Ability to understand and advise on all types of contracts with a working knowledge of contractual frameworks.
- Ability to effectively interact with and gather information at all business levels.
- Commitment to ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ability to adapt to differing levels of interaction dependent upon the situation.
- Good business reporting capabilities and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and self-reliant, with strong team player capabilities.
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and multi-task while balancing customer and internal priorities.
- Willingness and ability to represent NEC in both internal and external meetings.
- Effective relationship builder, developing strong working relationships within the business.
- Skill in organising time effectively and determining the right resources needed for job assignments.
- Full and valid UK/EC driving licence.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.

- Previous experience with SAP is beneficial.

You will be part of the Business Operations team, working alongside other operational business teams such as Legal, Sales Order Processing, and Project Delivery. You will report to the Commercial Assurance Manager, Head of Business Operations, and Chief Financial Officer.
