Lithia & Driveway is hiring a remote Accounts Receivable Collector to manage past due accounts and maintain our financial health. You will play a key role by resolving account issues and supporting store operations.
What You'll Do
- Contact consumers via phone, email, and digital platforms to collect outstanding debts.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Utilize skip tracing tools and techniques to locate consumers with outdated contact information.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all communications and payment agreements.
- Ensure compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other applicable laws.
- Use collection software and CRM systems to manage accounts and track progress.
- Follow up on broken payment promises and escalate accounts when necessary.
- Meet or exceed monthly collection goals and performance metrics.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in debt collection, skip tracing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in skip tracing tools and investigative techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
- Familiarity with FDCPA and other relevant consumer protection laws.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, collection software, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
