We're looking for an entrepreneurial Collections Manager to supercharge our accounts receivable performance. This high-volume role demands top-tier organizational, communication, and analytical chops. You'll need supreme professionalism, strong leadership skills, and ironclad integrity. Reporting to our Director of A/R, A/P, and Financial Operations, this position is perfect for data-driven professionals who get excited about automation, AI tools, and optimizing financial operations in a fast-moving organization.
- Drive accounts receivable improvements through strategic collection approaches and ensuring clients pay on time
- Handle escalated disputes and customer inquiries, solving payment roadblocks proactively
- Proactively contact clients to collect outstanding balances — always courteous, professional, and persistent
- Lead high-volume invoice collection, ensuring swift follow-ups to minimize outstanding A/R balances
- Manage dunning letters, payment reminders, and client communications to support proactive collections
- Lead and support the Collections Specialists team by actively participating and providing continuous guidance
- Manage team training and performance assessments
- Continuously refine collections processes to reduce open A/R days and stabilize cash flow
- Implement and evolve automation and AI solutions to streamline manual tasks and boost team productivity
- Build and maintain real-time dashboards tracking key performance metrics
- Use data analytics to identify high-risk accounts and optimize collection strategies
- Cross-departmental collaboration to enhance forecasting and deliver actionable business insights
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years collections experience with extensive client interaction
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams in high-volume collections environments
- Extensive experience managing large invoice and transactional data volumes
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis, dashboard tools like Power BI and Tableau
- Strong background in automation platforms, AI-based tools, and process optimization
- Familiarity with Intacct contracts and A/R systems is a plus
- Laser-focused on details, goal-oriented, committed to data integrity
- Exceptional multitasking skills with high-pressure performance
- Outgoing, empathetic, with a customer-first mindset
