Ensemble Health Partners is looking for a Coding Compliance Auditor to work closely with our Compliance and Internal Audit Team. Your work will support the mission of the Ensemble Compliance Program by planning, executing, and reporting on compliance coding audits to ensure coding is consistent with all applicable guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Continuously build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of coding guidelines, Coding Clinics, CPT Assistant, CCI edits, and other appropriate coding references.
- Assist with the development and preparation of the annual risk assessment and work plan.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive coding audit program.
- Conduct coding compliance audits consistent with the compliance work plan and other special projects.
- Prepare detailed reports succinctly identifying audit scope, objectives, findings, and supporting authority for recommendations.
- Deliver educational feedback to coding staff regarding audit findings.
- Provide guidance to coding staff and management in identifying and resolving coding issues.
- Develop project plans and manage activities to achieve compliance-related business outcomes in partnership with other stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of similar coding compliance or audit experience.
- Must have and keep current at least one of the following professional certifications: CPC (Certified Professional Coder), CHC (Certified Healthcare Compliance), RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator), or RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician).
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Health Records Management or Medical Coding.
