Corewell Health is hiring a CNA Rehab and Nursing professional to join our team. As a vital member of our nursing staff, you will provide top-notch patient care according to individual care plans, unit routines, and hospital policies, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures.
- Deliver day-to-day care for assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting, and feeding.
- Document care provided as directed and in a manner consistent with guidelines.
- Maintain the patient environment, work area, and equipment, communicating any malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Complete and maintain the required number of CNA educational hours.
- Participate in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course.
- CRT-Nursing Assistant certification from the Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs upon hire or within 90 days (with specific timelines for certain locations).
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required, excluding Hospice (required for Hanson Hospice Center), or CRT-BLS from the ARC American Red Cross.
