Leidos is hiring a Cloud Systems Engineer to join a team in Chantilly, VA. At Leidos, we outthink, outbuild, and outpace the status quo. In this role, you will assist in the operation, automation, and support of hybrid infrastructure environments across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises systems, supporting cloud storage pipelines, system administration, VoIP infrastructure, and automation tasks.
What You'll Do
- Assist in managing data pipelines between AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, and Google Cloud Storage
- Support deployment and updates of serverless functions (e.g., Lambda, Azure Functions, Cloud Functions)
- Help maintain cloud storage access controls, secrets, and container configurations
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems (Rocky Linux/Ubuntu), including logs, services, and package management
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows Domain environment (Server 2022, Windows 11)
- Maintain system automation using cron, system services, and scripted routines
- Support web-based tools and services (e.g., NGINX, MediaWiki, ClamAV, virsh)
- Assist in supporting FreePBX and PBXact phone systems, including auto-provisioning, endpoint configuration, and updates
- Monitor SIP trunk health and system call behavior under the direction of the Senior Engineer
- Document technical procedures, automation workflows, and deployment steps
- Maintain logs and status reports on routine tasks, transfers, and system health
- Participate in incident response, including root cause analysis and resolution tracking
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience OR a Master’s degree and at least 6 years of experience
- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to be considered
- 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering or cloud infrastructure support
- Proficient in Linux system administration and shell scripting
- Experience working in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with Python or Bash scripting for automation tasks
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud deployments or cross-cloud data workflows
- Exposure to FreePBX or enterprise VoIP systems
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or cloud SDKs)

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
