This position is part of the Professional Services – Cloud Engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure AWS environments, ensuring compliance with security standards, and embedding security into the software development lifecycle. The role supports future opportunities and emphasizes proactive threat mitigation and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and oversee security solutions in cloud environments
- Create, enforce, and update security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard organizational assets
- Detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents by identifying threats and addressing vulnerabilities
- Manage AWS security tools including IAM, KMS, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and CloudTrail
- Perform risk evaluations and security audits to proactively address weaknesses
- Work with development and operations teams to incorporate security practices into each phase of the SDLC
- Stay current with evolving cloud security trends and advancements in AWS technologies to recommend security enhancements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Demonstrated experience in an AWS Cloud Security Engineer role or similar cloud security position
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services with hands-on experience in configuration and administration
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as CIS, NIST, and ISO/IEC 27001
- Experience with security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response systems
- Solid understanding of cryptography, identity and access management, and secure network design
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python or Bash
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
- Advanced English language proficiency

- Hold relevant AWS certifications, particularly AWS Certified Security – Specialty
