Access Corp is seeking a Security Engineer to join our Information Security team. This remote role is ideal for candidates located on the East Coast of the U.S. who are focused on building and maintaining secure systems. You will play a key part in designing, implementing, and managing security technologies and controls across our infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts with IT and development teams.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve security operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Support compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA) by implementing and validating security controls.
- Research and evaluate emerging security technologies and threats.
- Contribute to security awareness and training initiatives across the organization.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a security engineering or operations role.
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP), network security, and endpoint protection.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, MITRE ATT&CK).
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, IAM, and vulnerability management tools.
Nice to Have
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, AWS Security Specialty) are a plus.
