Cigna Healthcare is hiring a Cloud Engineering Associate Advisor for its Evernorth business. In this role, you will design, implement, and deploy scalable, efficient, and secure AI solutions using major cloud platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced generative AI technologies into enterprise environments, ensuring a focus on privacy, security, and fairness.
What You'll Do
- Build enterprise-grade AI solutions with a focus on privacy, security, and fairness.
- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges for AI developers building on AWS.
- Design and implement solutions leveraging OpenShift or AWS services like Sagemaker, S3, Lambda, and EC2 to configure large language models.
- Test the latest LLMs using standard evaluation criteria and prepare them for secure enterprise use with proper authentication, logging, and monitoring.
- Efficiently manage cloud resources to optimize performance and cost.
- Architect and develop software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems using machine learning technologies.
- Work with frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch and open-source platforms like Hugging Face.
- Optimize existing generative AI models for improved performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain AI pipelines for data preprocessing, feature extraction, model training, and evaluation.
- Develop clear documentation, including technical specifications and user guides, to communicate complex AI concepts.
- Contribute to establishing best practices and standards for generative AI development within the organization.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- 10+ years of extensive experience on AWS Cloud along with full-stack engineering expertise in languages like C# and Python.
- Proficiency in designing architecture, building API integrations, configuring and deploying cloud services, and setting up authentication, monitoring, and logging.
- Experience implementing enterprise AI, computer vision, or natural language processing systems in a production setting.
- Experience with information storage and retrieval using vector databases like pinecone.
- Strong understanding of natural language generation and GenAI concepts like transformers, LLMs, and text embeddings.
- Experience designing scalable software systems for classification, text extraction/summary, and data connectors for various formats.
- Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, or Llama Index.
- 2 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
- In-depth knowledge of OpenShift and Kubernetes concepts, architecture, and best practices.
- Programming experience in C/C++, Java, and Python.
- Knowledge of leveraging AWS services like Sagemaker, S3, Lambda, and EC2.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and services, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to develop innovative AI solutions.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to self-supervised learning, transfer learning, and reinforcement learning.
- Web development and solution skills with Flask, Django (for Python), or Express (for Node.js).
- Basic knowledge of web frameworks for creating RESTful APIs to serve models as a service.
