Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is building a talent pipeline for a Cloud Engineer to provide expert-level engineering, troubleshooting, and technical guidance for our cloud-based managed services. In this role, you will collaborate with teams to design, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructure while ensuring security and compliance standards are met.
What You'll Do
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure and managed services.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical problems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud environments, leveraging automation tools for deployment and monitoring.
- Participate in security audits and ensure compliance with frameworks such as FedRAMP, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and SOC standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients and act as a trusted advisor on technical matters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Mentor and train team members while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and runbooks to support internal and client-facing operations.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related technical roles.
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Azure in production environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), DevOps practices, and cloud automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, including familiarity with ITIL processes.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with clients and internal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to work independently, mentor others, and provide support across multiple US time zones.
- Must pass a federal background check for Public Trust Fitness.
Nice to Have
- Relevant Azure certifications, including Azure Architect (AZ305), are highly preferred.
