Kalibrate is looking for a Cloud Engineer I to support the planning, operation, and monitoring of cloud-based solutions that contribute to our IT infrastructure and business objectives. You'll assist in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our cloud environments while building foundational expertise.
What You'll Do
- Support the deployment, configuration, and basic management of cloud infrastructure under the guidance of senior team members.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of cloud resources, configurations, and processes.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to contribute to cloud initiatives and projects.
- Assist in monitoring and applying security protocols in line with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Track and report on cloud resource usage and performance metrics, identifying potential issues for escalation.
- Provide first-level support in troubleshooting cloud-related issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
- Learn and apply basic automation tools and scripts to support cloud provisioning and routine tasks.
- Stay up to date on cloud computing trends and emerging technologies to build foundational expertise.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1 – 2 years of experience in IT, cloud support, or a related technical role.
- Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Basic understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Foundational scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or PowerShell preferred).
- Understanding of basic networking and cloud security principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and follow established processes.
Nice to Have
- Entry-level certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer).
- Experience in a collaborative or remote work environment.
- Awareness of containerization concepts (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools.
