Ardent Principles, Inc. is looking for a Cloud Developer to join our team in Reston, VA. In this full-time, onsite role, you will develop critical geospatial data capabilities, automate cloud workflows, and manage scalable compute resources within a secure, modern AWS environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop and enhance geospatial data processing and analysis capabilities
- Automate cloud infrastructure and operational workflows
- Manage scalable compute resources across a secure cloud environment
- Create and manage AWS resources, including provisioning EC2 instances, writing and deploying Lambda functions, and utilizing S3
- Manage authorization appropriately across resources using IAM policies
What We're Looking For
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
- Strong Python programming skills
- Hands‑on experience building, deploying, and maintaining cloud‑native solutions on AWS
- Experience with geo-spatial software, programming packages, and data formats
- Experience using GitHub for version control
Nice to Have
- Experience deploying AWS applications with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK)
- Experience building and deploying containerized applications
- Experience building and maintaining search engines such as ElasticSearch, Lucene, or AWS OpenSearch
- Experience creating and maintaining SQL and NO-SQL databases programmatically
- Experience with other non-AWS cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
- Possession of an AWS DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or SysOps Administrator certification
